Sleep Debt Calculator
Enter your sleep for each of the last seven nights.
What sleep debt means
Sleep debt is a simple way to describe accumulated sleep shortfall. It should not be treated as a precise medical measurement. Regularly getting enough sleep is generally more useful than trying to erase a large deficit in one night.
How the sleep debt calculator works
Enter your sleep for the past seven nights and the calculator compares it with the sleep you need. The shortfall is your weekly sleep debt. Example: needing 8 hours but sleeping 50.5 hours across a week gives 5.5 hours of debt.
Paying it back
Add 30 to 60 minutes to each night for a week or two rather than sleeping all weekend. See the sleep debt calculator guide and how to fix sleep debt.
Limits
Sleep debt is a rough idea, not an exact account. If you are always tired despite long sleep, see a doctor.
