How much sleep do I need?
For most adults, the useful first question is whether you are consistently getting enough sleep rather than whether you can force a specific number of 90-minute cycles. Sleep duration, quality, timing, and regularity all matter.
What if I need more or less than the range?
Sleep need varies. A range is not a diagnosis or a rule that overrides how you feel. Persistent daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, repeated awakenings, or other concerning symptoms deserve professional attention.
